Simão Sousa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Allan de Toledo in the 15th minute of play. The supporters of Mochila SS booed when Demoregi SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sydney Bittencourt didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Murilo Senna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Simão Vianna might have been able to make a better finish in the 31st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ronaldinho Chaves. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Simão Vianna ran back to his position shaking his head. The crowd rose to their feet as Mochila SS's Allan de Toledo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Simão Sousa. That made the score 1-0 after 34 minutes of play. If Allan de Toledo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Murilo Senna managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mochila SS's supporters rose to their feet, but Murilo Senna was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Simão Sousa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Simão Vianna sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 47th minute, Romeu Paraibano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Allan de Toledo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 56 played minutes Demoregi SC got a freekick which was hit by Sydney Bittencourt. Murilo Senna fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Simão Sousa having to interfere. 63 minutes into the game, Percival Trevisan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mochila SS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Demoregi SC the free kick. After 63 played minutes Mochila SS got a freekick which was hit by Percival Trevisan. In the 64th minute of the match Sandrinho Silveira sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ronaldinho Chaves skillfully saved the ball. After having played for 68 minutes, Allan de Toledo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mochila SS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Allan de Toledo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Simão Sousa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Álvaro Alvarenga in the 71st minute of play. If Rui Gonçalves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rui Gonçalves got free with Ronaldinho Chaves in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rui Gonçalves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 83rd match minute, Mochila SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dráusio da Mata to maneuver through the defense. In the 87th minute, Donato Eger hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Simão Vianna received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Ronaldinho Chaves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Demoregi SC's Simão Sousa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Murilo Senna in the 94th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Demoregi SC's zone, Allan de Toledo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Simão Sousa came out of the goal and Allan de Toledo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
