Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bruno Arce in the 43rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Josué Meireles prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Josué Meireles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jorge Machado in the 44th minute of play. If Bruno Arce had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Guilherme Figueiredo to make the kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Bruno Arce kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Josué Meireles. That made the score 0-5 in the 51 minute of play.
