Ferraz FC's Rodrigo de Souza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joaquim Botelho in the 12th minute of play. Joaquim Botelho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Rodrigo de Souza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 20 minutes into the game, Vila Rural EC's Joaquim Botelho nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rodrigo de Souza made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. With a little luck, Vila Rural EC's Wilton Sergipano got control of the ball when Diamantino Quadros tried to sneak it across the goal line. William Lago hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. Tiago Gabriel Cearense, 34 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. If Elói Marinho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Vila Rural EC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
