Spectators: 7050 (Terracing: 5395, Seating: 1575, VIP seats: 80) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Tomé Félix started the match with the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Joe Bartus FC's zone, Zézinho Neves stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luisão Arruda came out of the goal and Zézinho Neves tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 10 minutes into the game, Tomé Neves was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Trainspotting's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Joe Bartus FC the free kick. After 10 played minutes Trainspotting got a freekick which was hit by Tomé Neves. It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 12th minute, but Claudinei Mendes got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving Trainspotting hanging dry this time. Claudinei Mendes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tomé Félix's shot from short distance in the 14th minute. After some careless play in the Joe Bartus FC defense, Zézinho Neves kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Luisão Arruda. The Joe Bartus FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Luisão Arruda should have stopped the shot. If Zézinho Neves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Róbson Freire managed to get in a good position for a shot. Trainspotting's supporters rose to their feet, but Róbson Freire was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luisão Arruda breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 26 minutes into the match, Trainspotting's goal looked a bit too open when Tomé Félix came free, but Claudinei Mendes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Tomé Félix had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Trainspotting's Claudinei Mendes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomé Félix in the 31st minute of play. Luisão Arruda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zézinho Neves in the 33rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Trainspotting's Victor de Senna got a free kick in the 44th minute. Tomé Félix received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Claudinei Mendes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The wind increased when Róbson Freire made the kick off in the second half. An unexpected shot in the 57th minute by Zézinho Neves got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Luisão Arruda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Róbson Freire in the 57th minute of the match. Luisão Arruda came out of the goal in the 68th minute to try and stop a shot by Trainspotting's Zézinho Neves. But to his dismay, Zézinho Neves quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Zézinho Neves's late challenge caught a Joe Bartus FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Zézinho Neves helped the player get up and apologised. In the 75th minute of the match Joaquim Novaes sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Claudinei Mendes skillfully saved the ball. 76 minutes into the match, Trainspotting's goal looked a bit too open when Ricardo Neto came free, but Claudinei Mendes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ricardo Neto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Róbson Freire's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Luisão Arruda read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 98th minute of play.
