Spectators: 7236 (Terracing: 5429, Seating: 1664, VIP seats: 143) The supporters of Quatiguaba SC booed when CR Vasco da Gama BSB was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cleiton Mattos didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpected shot in the 25th minute by Vicente de Sousa got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Quatiguaba SC's Luisão Campidelis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vicente de Sousa in the 27th minute of play. Vitinho Pirani hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. CR Vasco da Gama BSB's Valdo Fantini got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 31st match minute, Quatiguaba SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paulo José de Andrade to maneuver through the defense. Valdo Fantini fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luisão Campidelis having to interfere. 38 minutes into the game, Vitinho Pirani was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Quatiguaba SC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave CR Vasco da Gama BSB the free kick. CR Vasco da Gama BSB's Teodoro Gaúcho shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 39th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Luisão Campidelis but with some difficulty. Vladimir Loyola kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for David do Valle to strike the kick off in the second half. When David do Valle came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Quatiguaba SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that David do Valle couldn't finish the play. Vicente de Sousa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Luisão Campidelis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Vicente de Sousa came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the CR Vasco da Gama BSB fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vicente de Sousa couldn't finish the play. After 65 played minutes Quatiguaba SC got a freekick which was hit by Antônio Carlos Neves. 66 minutes into the match, Quatiguaba SC's goal looked a bit too open when Valdo Fantini came free, but Luisão Campidelis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Vitinho Pirani was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 67 minutes had been played. Luisão Campidelis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vicente de Sousa in the 69th minute of play. Valdo Fantini fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luisão Campidelis having to interfere. 78 minutes into the match, Quatiguaba SC's goal looked a bit too open when Vicente de Sousa came free, but Luisão Campidelis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 78th minute, David do Valle hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vicente de Sousa got in the 84th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Luisão Campidelis handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. After having played for 87 minutes, Vicente de Sousa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CR Vasco da Gama BSB's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vicente de Sousa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 91 minutes into the match, Jorginho Veloso notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of CR Vasco da Gama BSB's Cléber Peres. Cléber Peres was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Valdo Fantini might have been able to make a better finish in the 96th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Luisão Campidelis. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Valdo Fantini ran back to his position shaking his head.
