But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Duda da Rocha couldn't finish the play. 15 minutes into the match, Perebas FC's goal looked a bit too open when Amauri Trancoso came free, but Natã da Fonseca reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Natã da Fonseca showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amauri Trancoso, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Erivaldo Figueiredo during the 17th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A wasted opportunity for AA Sempre Nós FC. 43 minutes into the game, Paulinho Nunes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Perebas FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave AA Sempre Nós FC the free kick. After 43 played minutes Perebas FC got a freekick which was hit by Paulinho Nunes. Natã da Fonseca was a little too slow when Amauri Trancoso got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 45th minute. The score was now 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Duda da Rocha was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute Amauri Trancoso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Natã da Fonseca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eurico Cavalcante charged in rather forcefully in the 52nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eurico Cavalcante the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to AA Sempre Nós FC getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. After having played for 61 minutes, Aloísio Silva managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AA Sempre Nós FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aloísio Silva was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Perebas FC's Duda da Rocha got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. André Luís Meira got in the 68th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Tiago Ceresso handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Tiago Ceresso made a fantastic save in the 69th minute, when André Luís Meira sent off a good shot on target. After 70 played minutes AA Sempre Nós FC got a freekick which was hit by Eurico Cavalcante. Tiago Ceresso made an important save on a dangerous shot by André Luís Meira in the 74th minute. Duda da Rocha received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Tiago Ceresso came out and tried to block the shot, but Duda da Rocha slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 79th minute. Aloísio Silva struck a weak shot in the 88th minute.
