Erasmo Pimenta was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 7th minute the ball was on its way in behind Nitero's goalkeeper Rodolfo Catarinense, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 14 minutes into the match, Muri EC's goal looked a bit too open when Luiz Fabiano Tróia came free, but Erasmo Pimenta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Muri EC's Erasmo Pimenta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Enio da Silveira in the 17th minute of play. In the 19th minute, Enio da Silveira made a precise shot to the right of Erasmo Pimenta. Muri EC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. 23 minutes into the match, Nitero's goal looked a bit too open when Charles Abreu came free, but Rodolfo Catarinense reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Charles Abreu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Muri EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Charles Abreu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rodolfo Catarinense breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 29th minute of the match Fabrício Paiva sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Erasmo Pimenta skillfully saved the ball. Rodolfo Catarinense made an important save on a dangerous shot by Charles Abreu in the 35th minute. In the 37th minute, Enio da Silveira ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Erasmo Pimenta was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. Charles Abreu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 41st minute of the match, but Rodolfo Catarinense made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Charles Abreu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Muri EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Charles Abreu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rodolfo Catarinense breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Charles Abreu made a kick off. If Luiz Fabiano Tróia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 54 minutes into the match, Muri EC's goalkeeper Erasmo Pimenta had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by José Maria Soeiro. Rodolfo Catarinense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Charles Abreu in the 60th minute of play. Nilson Prata sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tales Schmidt got free with Erasmo Pimenta in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Charles Abreu kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Charles Abreu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Charles Abreu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 75 played minutes Nitero got a freekick which was hit by Luiz Fabiano Tróia. Nilson Prata received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Rodolfo Catarinense tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Charles Abreu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 81 minutes into the match, Charles Abreu notched a goal, 2-3, to the right of Nitero's Rodolfo Catarinense. Rodolfo Catarinense was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 89 minutes into the game, Armandinho Macedo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-3. Rodolfo Catarinense was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After some careless play in the Nitero defense, Charles Abreu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rodolfo Catarinense. The Nitero fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rodolfo Catarinense should have stopped the shot. For all the effort they put into the match, the Nitero players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Muri EC.
