Claudinei Mendes came out of the goal and Fausto Valadares tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. César Queiroz might have been able to make a better finish in the 5th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Claudinei Mendes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. César Queiroz ran back to his position shaking his head. If Zézinho Neves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Róbson Freire had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fausto Valadares in the 14th minute of play forced Trainspotting's goalkeeper Claudinei Mendes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fausto Valadares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claudinei Mendes having to interfere. When Róbson Freire came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Trainspotting fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Róbson Freire couldn't finish the play. In the 23rd minute, Zézinho Neves fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Reginaldo Maciel, passed just outside the right post. Zézinho Neves recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Toriba's Fausto Valadares got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Fausto Valadares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Claudinei Mendes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for César Queiroz to strike the kick off in the second half. César Queiroz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claudinei Mendes having to interfere. Fausto Valadaress short, quick shot in the 57thth minute got Claudinei Mendes to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 58th minute the ball was on its way in behind Toriba's goalkeeper Reginaldo Maciel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Reginaldo Maciel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zézinho Neves in the 63rd minute of play. In the 64th minute, Júlio Neiva hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 68th minute of the match, César Queiroz tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Claudinei Mendes saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 70 minutes into the match, Trainspotting's goal looked a bit too open when César Queiroz came free, but Claudinei Mendes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Júlio Neiva charged in rather forcefully in the 71st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Júlio Neiva the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 76 minutes into the match, Trainspotting's goal looked a bit too open when César Queiroz came free, but Claudinei Mendes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Trainspotting's Róbson Freire got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Trainspotting's defense didn't have a chance, in the 88th minute, when César Queiroz scored to the left of an out of position Claudinei Mendes, making the score, 0-1. If Zézinho Neves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 97th minute César Queiroz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claudinei Mendes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Trainspotting supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Toriba's performance. The match ended with a win for Toriba.
