An unexpectedly hard shot by Alex Varela in the 5th minute of play forced AA Sempre Nós FC's goalkeeper Tiago Ceresso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 9th minute, Charles Abreu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Charles Abreu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 14th minute, Elano Catarinense sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and AA Sempre Nós FC's Tiago Ceresso didn't even have to move. Muri EC's Erasmo Pimenta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amauri Trancoso in the 15th minute of play. 18 minutes into the game, Muri EC's Charles Abreu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tiago Ceresso made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Tiago Ceresso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Charles Abreu in the 26th minute of play. 26 minutes into the game, Aloísio Silva was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. AA Sempre Nós FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Muri EC the free kick. After 26 played minutes AA Sempre Nós FC got a freekick which was hit by Aloísio Silva. Tiago Ceresso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lauro Hermes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to AA Sempre Nós FC getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Eurico Cavalcante hit a great ball. Charles Abreu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tiago Ceresso having to interfere. When Eurico Cavalcante fell near the penalty area in the 39th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored AA Sempre Nós FC's protests and gave Eurico Cavalcante a yellow card for diving instead. In the 39th minute, Eurico Cavalcante hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Charles Abreu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tiago Ceresso having to make a save. In the 47th minute Charles Abreu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tiago Ceresso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

In the 50th match minute, AA Sempre Nós FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sebastião Mota to maneuver through the defense. Tiago Ceresso made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Armandinho Macedo sent off a good shot on target. Lauro Hermes hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Donato Pimenta hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. 62 minutes into the match, Muri EC's Elano Catarinense sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tiago Ceresso narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Percy de Azevedo in the 67th minute of play forced Muri EC's goalkeeper Erasmo Pimenta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Charles Abreu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 73rd minute of the match, but Tiago Ceresso made a huge save. Tiago Ceresso came out of the goal in the 76th minute to try and stop a shot by Muri EC's Charles Abreu. But to his dismay, Charles Abreu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. If Nilson Prata had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Nilson Prata came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Muri EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nilson Prata couldn't finish the play. Charles Abreu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Tiago Ceresso made a huge save. Percy de Azevedo's late challenge caught a Muri EC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Percy de Azevedo helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to AA Sempre Nós FC getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Percy de Azevedo hit a great ball. Tiago Ceresso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nilson Prata, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. Muri EC played a much better game than AA Sempre Nós FC and deserved their victory. The AA Sempre Nós FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
