After some careless play in the Canuma FC defense, Vicente de Sousa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Orlando Zonta. The Canuma FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Orlando Zonta should have stopped the shot. Canuma FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Orlando Sampaio in the 21st minute. Teodoro Gaúcho tried to clear up in front of the goal, but didn't succeed and rather the ball rolled into the own goal to the right of a despaired Cléber Peres. An unnecessary self made goal, 1-2 in the 21st minute. Orlando Zonta didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 29th minute, which inside left pole to 2-2. Vicente de Sousa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Vicente de Sousa was the one to do the kick off. Manfredo Santana's late challenge caught a Canuma FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Manfredo Santana helped the player get up and apologised. Manfredo Santana kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valdo Fantini in the 80th minute of play forced Canuma FC's goalkeeper Orlando Zonta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Orlando Zonta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valdo Fantini in the 91st minute of play. Ronaldo Borges's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 93rdth minute, Cléber Peres skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. During the 95th minute of the match Manfredo Santana completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Manfredo Santana a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Manfredo Santana kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. Orlando Sampaio was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 97th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The CR Vasco da Gama BSB fans cheered their team off the field, for while Canuma FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
