After some careless play in the Joe Bartus FC defense, Charles Abreu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Luisão Arruda. The Joe Bartus FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Luisão Arruda should have stopped the shot. Nilson Prata's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Luisão Arruda read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 21st minute of play. Nilson Prata fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luisão Arruda having to interfere. In the 28th minute, Lauro Hermes made a precise shot to the right of Luisão Arruda. Joe Bartus FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Luisão Arruda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Charles Abreu in the 32nd minute of the match. Nilson Prata might have been able to make a better finish in the 35th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Luisão Arruda. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nilson Prata ran back to his position shaking his head. Luisão Arruda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nilson Prata in the 36th minute of the match. After 42 minutes, Kauã Paulista mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Joe Bartus FC and the Muri EC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Kauã Paulista kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. When the match clock showed 45 minutes, the score became 0-3 when Charles Abreu sped through Joe Bartus FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Luisão Arruda. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Charles Abreu made a kick off. Célio Valadares was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 56 minutes into the match. After 57 played minutes, Joe Bartus FC's Joaquim Novaes shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Erasmo Pimenta came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Joe Bartus FC reached it. Lauro Hermes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Luisão Arruda made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in Joe Bartus FC's zone, Lauro Hermes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luisão Arruda came out of the goal and Lauro Hermes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Lauro Hermes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luisão Arruda stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Yuri da Mata's shot from short distance in the 69th minute. 72 minutes into the match, Muri EC's Elano Catarinense sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Luisão Arruda narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Luisão Arruda made a fantastic save in the 73rd minute, when Yuri da Mata sent off a good shot on target. Luisão Arruda took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nilson Prata, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luisão Arruda was a little too slow when Lauro Hermes got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 75th minute. The score was now 0-5. Evandro Aguiar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Joe Bartus FC's zone, Nilson Prata stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luisão Arruda came out of the goal and Nilson Prata tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Lauro Hermes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nilson Prata sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match was over Muri EC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Joe Bartus FC throughout the match.
