After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Ernani Teixeira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Aroeirinha's supporters rose to their feet, but Ernani Teixeira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tiago Ceresso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Remo Rossi kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Aroeirinha's Paulo Renato Mendes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save Aroeirinha from getting a goal against them. When Amauri Trancoso came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the AA Sempre Nós FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Amauri Trancoso couldn't finish the play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 23rd minute of the game. One of Aroeirinha:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of AA Sempre Nós FC:s goal. Daniel Paraíba walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. In the 27th match minute, Aroeirinha was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Remo Rossi to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Aroeirinha's Paulo Renato Mendes got control of the ball when Aloísio Silva tried to sneak it across the goal line. Aloísio Silva received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Paulo Renato Mendes came out and tried to block the shot, but Aloísio Silva slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 32nd minute. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Amauri Trancoso made a kick off. The supporters of Aroeirinha booed when AA Sempre Nós FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amauri Trancoso didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Aroeirinha getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Moisés Paes hit a great ball. Rafinha Lopes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Tiago Ceresso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Osvaldo Maia blasted a shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tiago Ceresso having to make a save. After some careless play in the Aroeirinha defense, Aloísio Silva kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Paulo Renato Mendes. The Aroeirinha fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Paulo Renato Mendes should have stopped the shot. Osvaldo Maia struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Tiago Ceresso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Aroeirinha. Rafinha Lopes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tiago Ceresso having to interfere. After a rather tough play, AA Sempre Nós FC's Gilmar da Cunha got a free kick in the 81st minute. After a defensive mix-up in AA Sempre Nós FC's zone, Osvaldo Maia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tiago Ceresso came out of the goal and Osvaldo Maia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 88 minutes into the match, Aloísio Silva notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Aroeirinha's Paulo Renato Mendes. Paulo Renato Mendes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The AA Sempre Nós FC players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
