Spectators: 7084 (Terracing: 5429, Seating: 1575, VIP seats: 80) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Tomé Félix started the match with the kick off. 12 minutes into the match, Joe Bartus FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ernani Teixeira came free, but Luisão Arruda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 16th match minute, Joe Bartus FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ricardo Neto to maneuver through the defense. Marcus Mota kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Osvaldo Maia in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Luisão Arruda saved Joe Bartus FC from getting behind. After 24 played minutes Joe Bartus FC got a freekick which was hit by Marcus Mota. 24 minutes into the match, Aroeirinha's Renato Correia broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Ernani Teixeira took the ball and in the 27 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Luisão Arruda. Luisão Arruda dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. When Osvaldo Maia came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Aroeirinha fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Osvaldo Maia couldn't finish the play. Joe Bartus FC's Luisão Arruda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ernani Teixeira in the 36th minute of play. In the 38th match minute, Joe Bartus FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcus Mota to maneuver through the defense. If Osvaldo Maia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Paulo Renato Mendes acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 46th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Oscar Baptista.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Osvaldo Maia was the one to do the kick off. In the 55th match minute, Joe Bartus FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tomé Félix to maneuver through the defense. When Rafinha Lopes fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Aroeirinha's protests and gave Rafinha Lopes a yellow card for diving instead. In the 58th minute Tomé Félix shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paulo Renato Mendes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 62nd minute, Aroeirinha's Ernani Teixeira dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-2. Oscar Baptista took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 69th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Paulo Renato Mendes. Aroeirinha's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 71 minutes into the match, Aroeirinha's Osvaldo Maia sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Luisão Arruda narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ricardo Neto hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. 79 minutes into the game, Marcus Mota was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Joe Bartus FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Aroeirinha the free kick. The supporters of Aroeirinha booed when Joe Bartus FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcus Mota didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 90th minute, Osvaldo Maia left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Aroeirinha fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. If Tomé Félix had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When the match was over Aroeirinha could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Joe Bartus FC throughout the match.
