The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Enio da Silveira in the 5th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Luisão Arruda prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Luisão Arruda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from José Maria Soeiro in the 6th minute of the match. Luisão Arruda stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of José Maria Soeiro's shot from short distance in the 9th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Joe Bartus FC's zone, Luiz Fabiano Tróia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luisão Arruda came out of the goal and Luiz Fabiano Tróia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Enio da Silveira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Luisão Arruda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 18th minute, José Maria Soeiro made a precise shot to the right of Luisão Arruda. Joe Bartus FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. In the 26th minute, Tomé Félix fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Rodolfo Catarinense, passed just outside the right post. Abelardo de Godoi charged in rather forcefully in the 31st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that José Maria Soeiro couldn't finish the play. Enio da Silveira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers José Maria Soeiro in the 40th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Luisão Arruda saved Joe Bartus FC from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Enio da Silveira in the 41st minute of play forced Joe Bartus FC's goalkeeper Luisão Arruda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luisão Arruda showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Enio da Silveira, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when José Maria Soeiro got free with Luisão Arruda in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 85th minute Tomé Félix shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rodolfo Catarinense saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Enio da Silveira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 97 minutes into the match, Nitero's goal looked a bit too open when Tomé Félix came free, but Rodolfo Catarinense reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rodolfo Catarinense showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomé Félix in the 97th minute of the match. Nitero were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
