He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Paulão Soares. Josué Cavalcante received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Paulão Soares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Haroldo Donato was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 22nd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. An unexpected shot in the 23rd minute by Sandro Siqueira got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Paulão Soares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Josué Cavalcante in the 25th minute of play. With his leg Paulão Soares managed to avoid a goal in the 28thth minute, when Indio's Sandro Siqueira fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Indio's supporters rose to their feet, but Josué Cavalcante was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Paulão Soares breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Sapopema's zone, Sandro Siqueira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Paulão Soares came out of the goal and Sandro Siqueira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 35th minute, Josué Cavalcante made a precise shot to the right of Paulão Soares. Sapopema's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. Sandro Siqueira took the ball and in the 39 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Paulão Soares. Paulão Soares dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Josué Cavalcante to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute, Sandro Siqueira left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Indio fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. After 89 minutes of play, Indio's Sandro Siqueira made it 6-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Paulão Soares was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 97th minute, Sandro Siqueira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Indio walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
