Thiago Matos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 11 minutes, Jorge Campidelis mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Canto do Rio and the Só Classe FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 11 played minutes Canto do Rio got a freekick which was hit by Jorge Campidelis. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Jaime Seco managed to get in a good position for a shot. Só Classe FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Jaime Seco was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fausto Simões breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 13th minute, Bruno Paraíba hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thiago Matos struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Pedro Paulo Donato didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Canto do Rio. Fausto Simões showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jaime Seco, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Thiago Matos in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pedro Paulo Donato saved Só Classe FC from getting behind. Canto do Rio's Thiago Matos got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thiago Matos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Pedro Paulo Donato showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Thiago Matos in the 38th minute of the match. In the 43rd minute, Luizão Zonta got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 45th minute Jaime Seco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fausto Simões saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luizão Zonta recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jaime Seco to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 61st minute, Dário Alagoano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The long shot by Otávio Leão in the 62nd minute really tested Fausto Simões's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Pedro Paulo Donato showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Thiago Matos, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. When Canto do Rio's Thiago Matos in the 66th minute got a chance for a shot 66th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. During the 73rd minute of the match Jorge Campidelis completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Jorge Campidelis a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. The supporters of Só Classe FC booed when Canto do Rio was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jorge Campidelis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thiago Matos kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Só Classe FC's Jaime Seco got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 82nd minute, Bruno Paraíba got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thiago Matos blasted a shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Pedro Paulo Donato having to make a save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Caetano Pena during the 87th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 88 played minutes Só Classe FC got a freekick which was hit by Caetano Pena. Bruno Paraíba recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 92nd minute Thiago Matos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Paulo Donato saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bruno Paraíba sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Canto do Rio fully deserved thier win.
