Reginaldo Koehler recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 5 minutes, Natã Leme mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gauna´s Futebol Club and the Só Classe FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 6 played minutes Gauna´s Futebol Club got a freekick which was hit by Natã Leme. 8 minutes into the match, Gauna´s Futebol Club's goal looked a bit too open when Jaime Seco came free, but Leopoldo Reyes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Leopoldo Reyes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sidney do Nascimento in the 12th minute of play. If Reginaldo Koehler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 22nd match minute, Só Classe FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valdemar Gaspar to maneuver through the defense. André Luís Cabral struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Pedro Paulo Donato didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gauna´s Futebol Club. Luís Guilherme Fonseca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Caetano Pena in the 33rd minute of play forced Gauna´s Futebol Club's goalkeeper Leopoldo Reyes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Leopoldo Reyes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Caetano Pena, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luís Guilherme Fonseca's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pedro Paulo Donato read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play.

In the 53rd minute of the match Otávio Leão shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Leopoldo Reyes showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 59 minutes into the game, André Luís Cabral cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Pedro Paulo Donato was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 64 played minutes Gauna´s Futebol Club got a freekick which was hit by Luís Guilherme Fonseca. André Luís Cabral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Paulo Donato having to interfere. In the 71st minute of the game, Jaime Seco landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. Gauna´s Futebol Club's Natã Leme got his second yellow card of the match in the 71st minute. The referee ordered Natã Leme off the ground. After 71 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Gauna´s Futebol Club! André Luís Cabral received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Pedro Paulo Donato tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Gauna´s Futebol Club's zone, Caetano Pena stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leopoldo Reyes came out of the goal and Caetano Pena tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gauna´s Futebol Club's André Luís Cabral got a good chance for a goal in the 99th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Gauna´s Futebol Club had played much better football throughout.
