After 11 played minutes Indio got a freekick which was hit by Valério Tavares. The supporters of Nagana FC booed when Indio was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Laércio Fontes didn't get a good kick on the ball. 14 minutes into the match, Nagana FC's Waldir da Cunha broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Josué Cavalcante in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dedê Alvarenga saved Nagana FC from getting behind. In the 23rd minute, Tião Vidal got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Josué Cavalcante had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nagana FC's Dedê Alvarenga proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save Nagana FC from getting a goal against them. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Josué Cavalcante stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Toninho Aguiar charged in rather forcefully in the 55th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Joaquim Pena received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 99th minute. Dedê Alvarenga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Indio players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
