Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Gláuber Moura started the match with the kick off. After 2 minutes, Sandro da Mata mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mengo Noite SC and the Bacue EC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Mengo Noite SC's Sandro da Mata got a free kick in the 2nd minute. The supporters of Bacue EC booed when Mengo Noite SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lino Maia didn't get a good kick on the ball. 20 minutes into the game, Gilmar Amorim cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Jefferson Lira was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 25 minutes of play, Bacue EC's Gláuber Moura made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Joaquim Pinho was left in no man's land by his defense there! Gilmar Amorim fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jefferson Lira having to interfere. When Cláudio da Costa fell near the penalty area in the 29th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bacue EC's protests and gave Cláudio da Costa a yellow card for diving instead. In the 29th match minute, Bacue EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cláudio da Costa to maneuver through the defense. Tião Brasil's late challenge caught a Mengo Noite SC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tião Brasil helped the player get up and apologised. If Gilmar Amorim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Bacue EC's Nico Madureira got a free kick in the 44th minute. In the 47th minute of the match Wilson Lopez sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jefferson Lira skillfully saved the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gilmar Amorim stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Bacue EC's Arnaldo Lopez got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Joaquim Pinho didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gláuber Moura went, in the 65th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lino Maia during the 70th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Lino Maia hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. In the 74th minute, Zé Augusto Seco got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 78th minute Nando Siqueira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jefferson Lira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jefferson Lira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nando Siqueira, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Gláuber Moura sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 90th minute, Michel Catarinense hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jefferson Lira made a fantastic save in the 94th minute, when Vitório Gerber sent off a good shot on target. The Bacue EC support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
