Spectators: 7220 (Terracing: 5416, Seating: 1661, VIP seats: 143) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Mateus Bezerra got the match started through his kick off. Jean Penha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Francisco Brodel in the 8th minute of play. After a rather tough play, STARK EC's Cláudio Vides got a free kick in the 8th minute. When Luizão Maranhense came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Locomotives fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luizão Maranhense couldn't finish the play. If Luizão Maranhense had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jean Penha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Francisco Brodel, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. If Luizão Maranhense had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jean Penha was a little too slow when Francisco Brodel got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 19th minute. The score was now 1-0. Jean Penha came out of the goal in the 23rd minute to try and stop a shot by Locomotives's Francisco Brodel. But to his dismay, Francisco Brodel quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. In the 31st minute Mateus Bezerra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Chicão Capixaba saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 32 played minutes Locomotives got a freekick which was hit by Moisés Koehler. It was beautiful to see STARK EC's Elias Ramalho in action when he in the 34th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! Mateus Bezerra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Chicão Capixaba tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luizão Maranhense sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Frederico Vinhas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jean Penha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Francisco Brodel, who was totally free with the ball in the 49th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Francisco Brodel to make the kick off. Locomotives's Chicão Capixaba played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mateus Bezerra in the 67th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Mateus Bezerra's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Chicão Capixaba was relentless in the 69th minute of the game. In the 72nd minute, Francisco Brodel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. STARK EC's Jean Penha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Francisco Brodel in the 79th minute of play. Mateus Bezerra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Locomotives's Nelson Novaes got a free kick in the 84th minute. Breno Motta kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. Germano Arce scored 2-1 in the 88th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Chicão Capixaba, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Francisco Brodel managed to get in a good position for a shot. Locomotives's supporters rose to their feet, but Francisco Brodel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jean Penha breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Locomotives fans cheered their team off the field, for while STARK EC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
