The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. 14 minutes into the game, one of Bacue EC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Edvaldo Brito shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Wesley do Valle received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Hélio Dias tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jefferson Lira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felipe Reis in the 30th minute of the match. Jefferson Lira came out of the goal in the 31st minute to try and stop a shot by Camboriu FC's Armando Baiano. But to his dismay, Armando Baiano quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Jefferson Lira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Armando Baiano in the 41st minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ronaldo Marquez during the 44th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. With an all-out effort, Bacue EC's Hélio Dias threw himself towards the right post 46 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Gláuber Moura, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After a rather tough play, Camboriu FC's Felipe Reis got a free kick in the 47th minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Armando Baiano stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Eurico do Nascimento fell near the penalty area in the 51st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Camboriu FC's protests and gave Eurico do Nascimento a yellow card for diving instead. After 52 played minutes Bacue EC got a freekick which was hit by Wesley do Valle. 55 minutes into the match, Gláuber Moura had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Hélio Dias. Camboriu FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gláuber Moura was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. When Wesley do Valle fell near the penalty area in the 58th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bacue EC's protests and gave Wesley do Valle a yellow card for diving instead. After 58 played minutes Bacue EC got a freekick which was hit by Wesley do Valle. Armando Baianos short, quick shot in the 60thth minute got Jefferson Lira to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Jefferson Lira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felipe Reis, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. If Felipe Reis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Camboriu FC booed when Bacue EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Naldo Toscano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jefferson Lira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edvaldo Brito in the 89th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felipe Reis in the 90th minute of play forced Bacue EC's goalkeeper Jefferson Lira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 92 minutes into the game, Felipe Reis cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-4. Jefferson Lira was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.
