Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Douglas Donatello in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Beto Garcia prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Beto Garcia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Douglas Donatello in the 36th minute of the match. In the 37th minute André Luís da Mata shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edmílson Gomes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Beto Garcia made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Rodrigo Pinheiro sent off a good shot on target. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. André Luís da Mata was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of PALESTRINHA F.C booed when Quarany EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jeremias Almeida didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice moves Jorginho Félix could shoot a difficult shot in the 70th minute, which Edmílson Gomes however easily saved by the left post. Douglas Donatello took the ball and in the 71 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Beto Garcia. Beto Garcia dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. 75 minutes into the match, Quarany EC's goal looked a bit too open when Douglas Donatello came free, but Beto Garcia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Quarany EC's zone, Franklin de Lima stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Beto Garcia came out of the goal and Franklin de Lima tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Douglas Donatello's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Beto Garcia read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 77th minute of play. Edmílson Gomes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dráusio Prata, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 87th match minute, Quarany EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valdir Furlan to maneuver through the defense. It was beautiful to see PALESTRINHA F.C's Rodrigo Pinheiro in action when he in the 89th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! With an all-out effort, Quarany EC's Edmílson Gomes threw himself towards the right post 92 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from André Luís da Mata, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Franklin de Lima hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. PALESTRINHA F.C had played much better football throughout.
