Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Bruninho Pitta started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Wanderson Lopez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Laércio Teles kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. In the 11th minute, Tostão Machado ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gilson Perez was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Gilson Perez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tostão Machado in the 15th minute of play. After 15 played minutes Pontal got a freekick which was hit by Bernardo de Sousa. Tostão Machado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Gilson Perez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gilson Perez came out of the goal in the 22nd minute to try and stop a shot by FARRAPOS AC's Tostão Machado. But to his dismay, Tostão Machado quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Tostão Machado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilson Perez having to interfere. 40 minutes into the game, Remo de Souza was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pontal's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FARRAPOS AC the free kick. Remo de Souza kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Pontal defense, Tostão Machado kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gilson Perez. The Pontal fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gilson Perez should have stopped the shot. Bruninho Pitta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Eurico de Carvalho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tostão Machado was the one to do the kick off. If Edvaldo Araújo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 56 minutes into the match, FARRAPOS AC's Fabinho Botelho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gilson Perez narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tostão Machado in the 58th minute of play forced Pontal's goalkeeper Gilson Perez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 61 minutes into the match, Wanderson Lopez had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gilson Perez. Pontal's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Wanderson Lopez was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. If Bruninho Pitta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bruninho Pitta in the 66th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eurico de Carvalho prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Eurico de Carvalho stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bruninho Pitta's shot from short distance in the 71st minute. After having played for 75 minutes, Marcelo Oliveira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pontal's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marcelo Oliveira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Eurico de Carvalho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcelo Oliveira in the 77th minute of play. Eurico de Carvalho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bruninho Pitta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gilson Perez made a fantastic save in the 81st minute, when Wanderson Lopez sent off a good shot on target. In the 85th minute, Bruninho Pitta made a precise shot to the right of Eurico de Carvalho. FARRAPOS AC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-4. Remo de Souza hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. After 92 played minutes, FARRAPOS AC's Fernandinho Carvalho shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Gilson Perez came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in FARRAPOS AC reached it. Bruninho Pitta struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Eurico de Carvalho didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pontal. Wanderson Lopez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilson Perez having to interfere.
