Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Rodolfo Souza took the kick off in the first half of the match. When Elder Bertassi came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the Florencio FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Elder Bertassi couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rodolfo Souza in the 5th minute of play forced Florencio FC's goalkeeper Tiaguinho Brasil to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Quirinopolis's José Paraibano proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to save Quirinopolis from getting a goal against them. After having played for 13 minutes, Elder Bertassi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Florencio FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Elder Bertassi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Quirinopolis's Frederico Bezerra in the 15th minute got a chance for a shot 15th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Elder Bertassi might have been able to make a better finish in the 22nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over José Paraibano. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Elder Bertassi ran back to his position shaking his head. When José Maria Mendes fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Quirinopolis's protests and gave José Maria Mendes a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Quirinopolis getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. José Maria Mendes hit a great ball. In the 25th minute, Florencio FC's Elder Bertassi dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. 32 minutes into the match, Quirinopolis's goalkeeper José Paraibano had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Felippe Maciel. José Paraibano was a little too slow when Elder Bertassi got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 33rd minute. The score was now 2-0. José Paraibano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elder Bertassi, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Felippe Maciel could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 41st minute of the match, but José Paraibano made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Felippe Maciel got free with José Paraibano in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Elder Bertassi to strike the kick off in the second half. Rodolfo Souza struck a weak shot in the 51st minute. Tiaguinho Brasil didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Quirinopolis. Quirinopolis's Frederico Bezerra got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Frederico Bezerra struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Tiaguinho Brasil didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Quirinopolis. After having played for 79 minutes, Felippe Maciel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Florencio FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Felippe Maciel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 83 minutes into the match, Quirinopolis's goal looked a bit too open when Felippe Maciel came free, but José Paraibano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Quirinopolis defense, Felippe Maciel kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of José Paraibano. The Quirinopolis fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that José Paraibano should have stopped the shot. Quirinopolis's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
