If Tostão Machado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Tostão Machado managed to get in a good position for a shot. FARRAPOS AC's supporters rose to their feet, but Tostão Machado was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Toninho Madureira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Donato Guedes in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eurico de Carvalho prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match clock showed 23 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Donato Guedes sped through FARRAPOS AC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Eurico de Carvalho. Hermínio Brodel kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. In the 33rd match minute, Geremeira was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hermínio Brodel to maneuver through the defense. Tostão Machado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Toninho Madureira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eurico de Carvalho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leonardo Goiano in the 46th minute of play. After some careless play in the FARRAPOS AC defense, Donato Guedes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Eurico de Carvalho. The FARRAPOS AC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eurico de Carvalho should have stopped the shot. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Tostão Machado made the kick off in the second half. In the 55th match minute, Geremeira was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hortêncio Passos to maneuver through the defense. After 57 minutes of play, FARRAPOS AC's Tostão Machado made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Toninho Madureira was left in no man's land by his defense there! Wanderson Lopez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 69th minute Donato Guedes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eurico de Carvalho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 71 minutes into the match, Geremeira's goal looked a bit too open when Wanderson Lopez came free, but Toninho Madureira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 72nd minute Wanderson Lopez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Toninho Madureira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Toninho Madureira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tostão Machado in the 77th minute of the match. In the 78th minute Donato Guedes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eurico de Carvalho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Geremeira's Toninho Madureira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tostão Machado in the 83rd minute of play. A collision led to FARRAPOS AC getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Fabinho Botelho hit a great ball. Donato Guedes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Edvaldo Araújo kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. Fabinho Botelho was shown his second yellow card after 97 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. The supporters of Geremeira booed when FARRAPOS AC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 98 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fabinho Botelho didn't get a good kick on the ball. Leonardo Goiano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 101st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
