When the match had gone on for 26 minutes, Serginho Sá took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Beto Garcia to make any attempt to save it. 30 minutes into the game, Mito Mazard cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Beto Garcia was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Fausto Cardozo kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Beto Garcia made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mito Mazard in the 43rd minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell André Luís da Mata to make the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Mito Mazard managed to get in a good position for a shot. Guarimanzal's supporters rose to their feet, but Mito Mazard was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Beto Garcia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Beto Garcia came out of the goal in the 52nd minute to try and stop a shot by Guarimanzal's Serginho Sá. But to his dismay, Serginho Sá quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. Jorginho Félix kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. In the 58th minute Serginho Sá shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Beto Garcia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mito Mazard recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Yuri Zanette hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Serginho Sá managed to get in a good position for a shot. Guarimanzal's supporters rose to their feet, but Serginho Sá was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Beto Garcia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 76 minutes, Dráusio Prata mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Quarany EC and the Guarimanzal players grew even worse after the yellow card. Dráusio Prata kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Ronaldão Puyol was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 77th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 79th minute, Quarany EC's André Luís da Mata ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Eliseu Leme. Eliseu Leme yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 4-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Serginho Sá managed to get in a good position for a shot. Guarimanzal's supporters rose to their feet, but Serginho Sá was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Beto Garcia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 86th match minute, Quarany EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wellington Freire to maneuver through the defense. 88 minutes into the game, Wellington Freire was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Quarany EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Guarimanzal the free kick. Wellington Freire hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. In the 90th minute of the match Serafim Ferraz sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Beto Garcia skillfully saved the ball. 94 minutes into the game, Guarimanzal's Mito Mazard nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Beto Garcia made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-2. Guarimanzal's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
