Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) In the 5thth minute of the game Douglas Donatello who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pontal's Gilson Perez was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Douglas Donatello had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Franklin de Lima sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gilson Perez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Douglas Donatello in the 12th minute of play. Edmílson Gomes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bernardo de Sousa in the 15th minute. Gilson Perez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Douglas Donatello in the 16th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Douglas Donatello in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gilson Perez saved Pontal from getting behind. Douglas Donatello took the ball and in the 23 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gilson Perez. Gilson Perez dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Douglas Donatello received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Gilson Perez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Douglas Donatello recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 36th minute of the game. One of Pontal:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of PALESTRINHA F.C:s goal. Rodrigo Pinheiro placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! The audience was convinced that Douglas Donatello's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gilson Perez was relentless in the 39th minute of the game. With a little luck, PALESTRINHA F.C's Edmílson Gomes got control of the ball when Bernardo de Sousa tried to sneak it across the goal line. Carlos Augusto Cardozo kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bruninho Pitta in the 43rd minute of play forced PALESTRINHA F.C's goalkeeper Edmílson Gomes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Remo de Souza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edmílson Gomes having to interfere. The Pontal players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. PALESTRINHA F.C were winning 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Douglas Donatello made a kick off. In the 52nd minute Bruninho Pitta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edmílson Gomes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Edmílson Gomes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernardo de Sousa in the 54th minute of play. Pontal's Gilson Perez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Douglas Donatello in the 56th minute of play. Gilson Perez stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Douglas Donatello's shot from short distance in the 58th minute. Edmílson Gomes came out of the goal in the 61st minute to try and stop a shot by Pontal's Luís Gustavo Bezerra. But to his dismay, Luís Gustavo Bezerra quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. In the 66th minute, Luís Gustavo Bezerra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Douglas Donatello got free with Gilson Perez in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 73rd minute, Franklin de Lima got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 75th minute, Franklin de Lima hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of PALESTRINHA F.C booed when Pontal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Robinho Quintal didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Bruninho Pitta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gilson Perez stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Douglas Donatello's shot from short distance in the 82nd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Carlos Augusto Cardozo managed to get in a good position for a shot. PALESTRINHA F.C's supporters rose to their feet, but Carlos Augusto Cardozo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gilson Perez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 88 minutes into the match, Pontal's goalkeeper Gilson Perez had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Douglas Donatello. PALESTRINHA F.C's Franklin de Lima got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Douglas Donatello fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilson Perez having to interfere. Pontal succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though PALESTRINHA F.C had controlled the match.
