Douglas Donatello might have been able to make a better finish in the 8th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Toninho Madureira. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Douglas Donatello ran back to his position shaking his head. PALESTRINHA F.C's Douglas Donatello got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A hard shot 17 in the game by Douglas Donatello from a close distance when the talented Toninho Madureira managed to make a qualified save. Geremeira's players were relieved. Franklin de Lima sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Geremeira booed when PALESTRINHA F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Franklin de Lima didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leonardo Goiano in the 24th minute of play forced PALESTRINHA F.C's goalkeeper Edmílson Gomes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Franklin de Lima received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Donato Guedes to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Douglas Donatello in the 53rd minute of play forced Geremeira's goalkeeper Toninho Madureira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Douglas Donatello had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Toninho Madureira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Douglas Donatello, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. 59 minutes into the game, Geremeira's Donato Guedes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Edmílson Gomes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. 65 minutes into the game, Douglas Donatello cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Toninho Madureira was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 70thth minute of the game Douglas Donatello who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Geremeira's Toninho Madureira was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After having played for 71 minutes, Franklin de Lima managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. PALESTRINHA F.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Franklin de Lima was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Carlos Augusto Cardozo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Toninho Madureira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Douglas Donatello came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the PALESTRINHA F.C fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Douglas Donatello couldn't finish the play. PALESTRINHA F.C were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
