The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Carlos Augusto Cardozo during the 15th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Carlos Augusto Cardozo kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. With an all-out effort, Amapora EC's Edmílson Gomes threw himself towards the right post 17 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Gonçalo Figueiredo, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The supporters of PALESTRINHA F.C booed when Amapora EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rony Veloso didn't get a good kick on the ball. João Augusto Barreto kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in PALESTRINHA F.C's zone, Gonçalo Figueiredo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edmílson Gomes came out of the goal and Gonçalo Figueiredo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, PALESTRINHA F.C's Edmílson Gomes got control of the ball when Fernandão Secco tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Gonçalo Figueiredo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Benjamim Recife made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zé Roberto Vale in the 36th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Amapora EC's zone, Franklin de Lima stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benjamim Recife came out of the goal and Franklin de Lima tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

In the 58th minute the ball was on its way in behind Amapora EC's goalkeeper Benjamim Recife, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 64th minute, Zé Roberto Vale fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. PALESTRINHA F.C's Franklin de Lima got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Edmílson Gomes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fernandão Secco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rodrigo Pinheiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Gonçalo Figueiredo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlos Augusto Cardozo in the 91st minute of play forced Amapora EC's goalkeeper Benjamim Recife to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zé Roberto Vale received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Benjamim Recife tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Franklin de Lima fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benjamim Recife having to interfere. PALESTRINHA F.C were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
