If Tostão Machado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eurico de Carvalho made a fantastic save in the 9th minute, when Felippe Maciel sent off a good shot on target. 9 minutes into the game, Fabinho Botelho was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FARRAPOS AC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Florencio FC the free kick. After a rather tough play, FARRAPOS AC's Fabinho Botelho got a free kick in the 9th minute. Hamílton Magalhães shot from long distance in the 10th minute, but Eurico de Carvalho was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. In the 15th minute, Elder Bertassi fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Wanderson Lopez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tiaguinho Brasil having to interfere. In the 25th minute Wanderson Lopez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tiaguinho Brasil saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 40 minutes, Tostão Machado managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FARRAPOS AC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tostão Machado was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Florencio FC's Tiaguinho Brasil played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tostão Machado in the 42nd minute of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

After 53 minutes FARRAPOS AC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Hamílton Magalhães who took care of the corner kick. If Wanderson Lopez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 59 minutes into the game, Tostão Machado recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Tiaguinho Brasil. Tostão Machado showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-1. Elder Bertassi blasted a shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Eurico de Carvalho having to make a save. Wanderson Lopez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eurico de Carvalho stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Elder Bertassi's shot from short distance in the 68th minute. In the 72nd minute, Wanderson Lopez ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tiaguinho Brasil was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Felippe Maciel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 82nd match minute, Florencio FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Agnaldo Viana to maneuver through the defense. After 87 played minutes, Florencio FC's Agnaldo Viana shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Eurico de Carvalho came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Florencio FC reached it. The supporters of Florencio FC booed when FARRAPOS AC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eduardo Moreira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Florencio FC's Hamílton Magalhães was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Eurico de Carvalho in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Felippe Maciel blasted a shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Eurico de Carvalho having to make a save. The Florencio FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching FARRAPOS AC's performance. The match ended with a win for FARRAPOS AC.
