Almir Ceresso kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Douglas Mello's late challenge caught a Vila Valqueire United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. Douglas Mello hit a great ball. Téo Seco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adriano de Medeiros having to interfere. Almir Novaes took the ball and in the 34 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Adriano de Medeiros. Adriano de Medeiros dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Almir Novaes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Adriano de Medeiros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Adriano de Medeiros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Almir Novaes in the 42nd minute of play. In the 46th play minute Osvaldo Melo came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Nilmar Nunes. 1-1. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Almir Novaes to make the kick off. In the 54th minute, Almir Novaes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Augusto Bueno sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 59th minute, Téo Seco had to leave the field with a concussion. When Augusto Bueno came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Ibicua AD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Augusto Bueno couldn't finish the play. 68 minutes into the game, Ibicua AD's Marcelinho Ortiz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nilmar Nunes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Nilmar Nunes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Marcelinho Ortiz went, in the 74th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. 79 minutes into the match, Ibicua AD's goal looked a bit too open when Almir Novaes came free, but Adriano de Medeiros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Marcelinho Ortiz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nilmar Nunes was relentless in the 83rd minute of the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Wilton Lima managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vila Valqueire United's supporters rose to their feet, but Wilton Lima was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Adriano de Medeiros breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Vila Valqueire United booed when Ibicua AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Almir Ceresso didn't get a good kick on the ball. Adriano de Medeiros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Almir Novaes in the 90th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Almir Novaes in the 92nd minute of play forced Ibicua AD's goalkeeper Adriano de Medeiros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Ibicua AD's Douglas Mello got a free kick in the 94th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Osvaldo Melo during the 97th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 98th minute, Osvaldo Melo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vila Valqueire United's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
