Edinho Pena kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 4 minutes, Dé da Mata took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Carlos Reis to make any attempt to save it. When Dé da Mata came up free with the goalie in the 7th minute, the Imbozal EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dé da Mata couldn't finish the play. Eurico Ferreira's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Acácio Lima read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. With his leg Carlos Reis managed to avoid a goal in the 13thth minute, when Imbozal EC's Joélson Nóbrega fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 16th minute Geovani Moreno shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Acácio Lima saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Pureza booed when Imbozal EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Humberto Esteves didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Geovani Moreno came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Pureza fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Geovani Moreno couldn't finish the play. In the 22nd minute, Betão de Medeiros hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 23 minutes into the game, one of Imbozal EC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Joélson Nóbrega fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Reis having to interfere. Dé da Mata charged in rather forcefully in the 40th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dé da Mata the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Imbozal EC getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Dé da Mata hit a great ball. Dé da Mata sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dé da Mata received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Carlos Reis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dé da Mata in the 66th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Carlos Reis prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Pureza's Carlos Reis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joélson Nóbrega in the 71st minute of play. 72 minutes into the game, Imbozal EC's Dé da Mata nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Carlos Reis made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. Joélson Nóbrega received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Carlos Reis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dé da Mata in the 86th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Joélson Nóbrega in the 88th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Carlos Reis prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Dé da Mata scored 4-1 in the 92nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Carlos Reis, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Imbozal EC had played much better football throughout.
