Nostálgicos's William do Valle played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edmundo Araújo in the 7th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Nostálgicos's Evandro Pontes got a free kick in the 10th minute. After 13 minutes of play, Buique's Renan Veloso made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. William do Valle was left in no man's land by his defense there! After having played for 16 minutes, Rodolfo Zonta managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Buique's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rodolfo Zonta was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 17 played minutes Nostálgicos got a freekick which was hit by Erivaldo Lopes. In the 20th minute, Renan Veloso made a precise shot to the right of William do Valle. Nostálgicos's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. William do Valle had in the 24thth minute some difficulties stopping Pedro Paulo Lucas's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 25th minute Buique were awarded a corner. Pedro Paulo Lucas went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 26th minute of the match Buique got a corner. Nostálgicos's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Pedro Paulo Lucas ran over to the corner to take the kick. William do Valle showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Renan Veloso in the 32nd minute of the match. When Renan Veloso came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Buique fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Renan Veloso couldn't finish the play. William do Valle came out of the goal and Renan Veloso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Renan Veloso took the ball and in the 38 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised William do Valle. William do Valle dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Edmundo Araújo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. William do Valle showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Renan Veloso in the 46th minute of the match. William do Valle didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rodolfo Zonta went, in the 47th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Renan Veloso was the one to do the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Luiz Fabiano do Vale during the 52nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 52 played minutes Nostálgicos got a freekick which was hit by Luiz Fabiano do Vale. Renan Veloso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without William do Valle having to interfere. Buique's Renan Veloso got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. William do Valle didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Buique. William do Valle made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rodolfo Zonta in the 97th minute. Buique played a much better game than Nostálgicos and deserved their victory. The Nostálgicos players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
