Spectators: 6656 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1656, VIP seats: 0) Juan de Castro started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Cássio Sarmento kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. When Miguel Botelho came up free with the goalie in the 4th minute, the Taireta fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Miguel Botelho couldn't finish the play. After 5 minutes of play, Taireta's Cesinha de Lima made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Luciano Sampaio was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 8 played minutes Taireta got a freekick which was hit by Egídio Negri. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tiaguinho Koehler during the 14th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 14th minute, Tiaguinho Koehler hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Taireta's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Juan de Castro 16 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-1. A collision led to São Paulo F.C getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Dorival Sampaio hit a great ball. Cesinha de Lima blasted a shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Luciano Sampaio having to make a save. If Jonathan Berger had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. São Paulo F.C's Jonathan Berger got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 39th minute, Ricardo Dionísio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 40th minute of the match Valdemar Maciel sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Luciano Sampaio skillfully saved the ball. 42 minutes into the match, São Paulo F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Egídio Negri came free, but Luciano Sampaio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luciano Sampaio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cesinha de Lima in the 46th minute of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Miguel Botelho to strike the kick off in the second half. Taireta's Hélder Gaspar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonathan Berger in the 56th minute of play. In the 60th minute São Paulo F.C were awarded a corner. Ricardo Dionísio went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on São Paulo F.C's corner Ricardo Dionísio fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Hélder Gaspar quite easily take care of the ball. In the 61st play minute Egídio Negri came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Luciano Sampaio. 1-2. If Miguel Botelho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Through an outstanding action, after 67 minutes, Luciano Sampaio successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 71st minute, Dário Aparecido hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Taireta's Miguel Botelho got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dário Aparecido received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Luciano Sampaio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 78 played minutes São Paulo F.C got a freekick which was hit by Ricardo Dionísio. Hélder Gaspar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Juan de Castro in the 82nd minute of play. After a rather tough play, São Paulo F.C's Cássio Sarmento got a free kick in the 86th minute. In the 92nd minute, Juan de Castro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The São Paulo F.C fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. When the match had gone on for 97 minutes, Miguel Botelho took a quick shot and it went in 2-3 without a chance for Luciano Sampaio to make any attempt to save it. Taireta's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
