The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Erivaldo Lopes helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Imbozal EC booed when Nostálgicos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erivaldo Lopes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Joélson Nóbrega recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dé da Mata fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without William do Valle having to interfere. Joélson Nóbregas short, quick shot in the 16thth minute got William do Valle to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 22nd match minute, Nostálgicos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Erivaldo Lopes to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, Imbozal EC's Enéas do Valle tried to score from far away in the 23rd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Nostálgicos's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Dé da Mata 34 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. 37 minutes into the match, Nostálgicos's goal looked a bit too open when Dé da Mata came free, but William do Valle reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Joélson Nóbrega fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without William do Valle having to interfere. If Joélson Nóbrega had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dino Simão to strike the kick off in the second half. William do Valle showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joélson Nóbrega, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. Amadeu Borges hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match.
