Fausto Reis lost his temper 4 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 3rd minute, one of Holandés Volador F.C:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Holandés Volador F.C. Erivaldo Bastos was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 15th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. 18 minutes into the match, Ibicua AD's Marcelinho Ortiz sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Kiko Reis narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Kiko Reis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcelinho Ortiz in the 21st minute of play. Augusto Bueno received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Kiko Reis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Almir Ceresso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Narciso Domingues came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Holandés Volador F.C fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Narciso Domingues couldn't finish the play. After some careless play in the Ibicua AD defense, Hugo Pombal kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Adriano de Medeiros. The Ibicua AD fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Adriano de Medeiros should have stopped the shot. After having played for 42 minutes, Glauco Amaral managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Holandés Volador F.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Glauco Amaral was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Narciso Domingues had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Narciso Domingues recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

After having played for 54 minutes, Marcelinho Ortiz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ibicua AD's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marcelinho Ortiz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fellipe Queirós hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Holandés Volador F.C's Kiko Reis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcelinho Ortiz in the 57th minute of play. In the 58th minute, Holandés Volador F.C's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Augusto Bueno fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. 60 minutes into the match, Holandés Volador F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Marcelinho Ortiz came free, but Kiko Reis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Holandés Volador F.C's defense didn't have a chance, in the 65th minute, when Marcelinho Ortiz scored to the left of an out of position Kiko Reis, making the score, 1-2. 68 minutes into the match, Holandés Volador F.C's Narciso Domingues sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Adriano de Medeiros narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Narciso Domingues sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 82nd minute, Yan Valladares made a precise shot to the right of Adriano de Medeiros. Ibicua AD's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. After having played for 89 minutes, Osvaldo Melo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ibicua AD's supporters crossed their fingers, but Osvaldo Melo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Augusto Bueno fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kiko Reis having to interfere. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
