A wasted opportunity for Buique. 4 minutes into the match, Taireta's goalkeeper Hélder Gaspar had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Aníbal Azevedo. 9 minutes into the match, Taireta's goal looked a bit too open when Rodolfo Zonta came free, but Hélder Gaspar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 10 minutes into the match, Renan Veloso dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Hélder Gaspar, 2-0. After a defensive mix-up in Taireta's zone, Renan Veloso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hélder Gaspar came out of the goal and Renan Veloso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Edmundo Araújo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Buique's supporters rose to their feet, but Edmundo Araújo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hélder Gaspar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Renan Veloso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hélder Gaspar having to interfere. Hélder Gaspar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Renan Veloso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Aníbal Azevedo came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Buique fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aníbal Azevedo couldn't finish the play. 36 minutes into the match, Taireta's goal looked a bit too open when Renan Veloso came free, but Hélder Gaspar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 38th minute, Renan Veloso got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rodolfo Zonta in the 40th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hélder Gaspar prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match had gone on for 43 minutes, Edmundo Araújo took a quick shot and it went in 3-0 without a chance for Hélder Gaspar to make any attempt to save it.
The wind increased when Renan Veloso made the kick off in the second half. Egídio Negri sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Edmundo Araújo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Hélder Gaspar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 61 minutes into the game, Buique's Renan Veloso nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Hélder Gaspar made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. 66 minutes into the match, Buique's goal looked a bit too open when Miguel Botelho came free, but Valdo Miranda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Renan Veloso managed to get in a good position for a shot. Buique's supporters rose to their feet, but Renan Veloso was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hélder Gaspar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Edmundo Araújo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rodolfo Zonta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Miguel Botelho kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Edmundo Araújo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hélder Gaspar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Renan Veloso in the 79th minute of the match. A collision led to Taireta getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Váldson Linares hit a great ball. Renan Veloso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hélder Gaspar having to interfere. Buique's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
