Nostálgicos's defense didn't have a chance, in the 3rd minute, when Marcelinho Ortiz scored to the left of an out of position William do Valle, making the score, 1-0. William do Valle stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marcelinho Ortiz's shot from short distance in the 6th minute. Erivaldo Lopes hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. Augusto Bueno scored 2-0 in the 11th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of William do Valle, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 29 minutes into the game, Cássio Souza was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Nostálgicos's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ibicua AD the free kick. After 30 played minutes Nostálgicos got a freekick which was hit by Cássio Souza. Adriano de Medeiros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erivaldo Lopes in the 35th minute of play. Erivaldo Lopes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 45 minutes into the game, Marcelinho Ortiz cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. William do Valle was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Marcelinho Ortiz made a kick off. The Ibicua AD fans' excitement grew in the 56th match minute when Ibicua AD's Augusto Bueno looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 61 minutes into the match, Nostálgicos's goal looked a bit too open when Marcelinho Ortiz came free, but William do Valle reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dino Simão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Adriano de Medeiros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Augusto Bueno came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Ibicua AD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Augusto Bueno couldn't finish the play. Augusto Bueno sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 73rd minute, Samuel Pires hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 83rd minute Augusto Bueno shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but William do Valle saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Erivaldo Lopes hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. Dino Simão blasted a shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Adriano de Medeiros having to make a save. Dino Simão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Ibicua AD getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Almir Ceresso hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 97th minute, Augusto Bueno managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ibicua AD's supporters rose to their feet, but Augusto Bueno was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. William do Valle breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Many of Nostálgicos's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Nostálgicos may have spent more time on the ball, but Ibicua AD were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
