Pureza's Carlos Reis proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to save Pureza from getting a goal against them. In the 64th minute, Edinho Pena ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Adriano de Medeiros was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Carlos Reis made an important save on a dangerous shot by Augusto Bueno in the 70th minute. If Geovani Moreno had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 77 minutes, Osvaldo Melo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ibicua AD and the Pureza players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 77th match minute, Ibicua AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Osvaldo Melo to maneuver through the defense. Carlos Reis didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Augusto Bueno went, in the 96th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. Pureza were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Ibicua AD for a fine match.
