Murilo Quintal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcelinho Ortiz in the 14th minute of the match. Ibicua AD's Adriano de Medeiros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joélson Fontes in the 16th minute of play. 16 minutes into the game, Itapoa's Joélson Fontes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Adriano de Medeiros made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Marcelinho Ortiz to strike the kick off in the second half. The Ibicua AD fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Itapoa were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
