In the 3rdth minute of the game Juan de Castro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ibicua AD's Adriano de Medeiros was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Osvaldo Melo kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. After having played for 4 minutes, Juan de Castro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. São Paulo F.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Juan de Castro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Ibicua AD's zone, Juan de Castro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adriano de Medeiros came out of the goal and Juan de Castro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Marcelinho Ortiz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Augusto Bueno received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Luciano Sampaio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Augusto Bueno had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With an all-out effort, Ibicua AD's Luciano Sampaio threw himself towards the right post 17 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Marcelinho Ortiz, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Jonathan Berger recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Almir Ceresso charged in rather forcefully in the 24th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Almir Ceresso the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Almir Ceresso kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jonathan Berger in the 25th minute of play forced Ibicua AD's goalkeeper Adriano de Medeiros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Juan de Castro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Adriano de Medeiros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 29 minutes into the match, Jonathan Berger had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Adriano de Medeiros. Ibicua AD's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jonathan Berger was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Juan de Castro to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 55th of the match, Dorival Sampaio tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Adriano de Medeiros got in the way and made a wonderful save. Jonathan Berger could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Adriano de Medeiros made a huge save. Marcelinho Ortiz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Luiz Gustavo Cunha during the 70th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Ibicua AD's Luiz Gustavo Cunha got a free kick in the 70th minute. It was beautiful to see São Paulo F.C's Dorival Sampaio in action when he in the 72nd minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! Juan de Castro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adriano de Medeiros having to interfere. In the 76th match minute, Ibicua AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Almir Ceresso to maneuver through the defense. 80 minutes into the match, Ibicua AD's goal looked a bit too open when Juan de Castro came free, but Adriano de Medeiros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. São Paulo F.C's Luciano Sampaio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcelinho Ortiz in the 84th minute of play. Ricardo Dionísio's late challenge caught a Ibicua AD's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ricardo Dionísio helped the player get up and apologised. In the 88th minute, Ricardo Dionísio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Ibicua AD's Erivaldo Bastos got a free kick in the 93rd minute. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
