In the 15thth minute of the game Marcelinho Ortiz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Vila Valqueire United's Nilmar Nunes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 19th minute the ball was on its way in behind Vila Valqueire United's goalkeeper Nilmar Nunes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Augusto Bueno received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Nilmar Nunes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 22 minutes into the match, Ibicua AD's goal looked a bit too open when Almir Novaes came free, but Adriano de Medeiros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Marcelinho Ortiz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 27th minute Augusto Bueno shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nilmar Nunes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Téo Seco might have been able to make a better finish in the 31st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Adriano de Medeiros. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Téo Seco ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 36th minute Marcelinho Ortiz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nilmar Nunes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Almir Novaes in the 42nd minute of play forced Ibicua AD's goalkeeper Adriano de Medeiros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 47th minute, Eriberto Souza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Almir Novaes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adriano de Medeiros having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Almir Novaes to make the kick off. Téo Seco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adriano de Medeiros having to interfere. Augusto Bueno recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 58 minutes into the match, Vila Valqueire United's Téo Seco sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Adriano de Medeiros narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 61st minute, Augusto Bueno fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Nilmar Nunes, passed just outside the right post. The supporters of Ibicua AD booed when Vila Valqueire United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wilton Lima didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Marcelinho Ortiz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nilmar Nunes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcelinho Ortiz in the 66th minute of play. After 70 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Ibicua AD! If Almir Novaes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Adriano de Medeiros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Almir Novaes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Adriano de Medeiros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Téo Seco, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. When Augusto Bueno came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Ibicua AD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Augusto Bueno couldn't finish the play. Nilmar Nunes made a fantastic save in the 83rd minute, when Douglas Mello sent off a good shot on target. Augusto Bueno sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Augusto Bueno got free with Nilmar Nunes in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Adriano de Medeiros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Almir Novaes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nilmar Nunes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Augusto Bueno in the 100th minute. Ibicua AD were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Vila Valqueire United to leave the ground with a draw.
