Edson Leme breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, ALVINEGRO.LHP's Oséas Valadares got a free kick in the 14th minute. 16 minutes into the match, ALVINEGRO.LHP's goal looked a bit too open when Osvaldinho Torres came free, but Victor Cerezo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Leonel Mineiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Victor Cerezo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Edson Leme showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Betão Domingues, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Betão Domingues to make the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Botafogo fc's goal looked a bit too open when Betão Domingues came free, but Edson Leme reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Botafogo fc's Leonel Mineiro got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alexsandro Souto charged in rather forcefully in the 56th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alexsandro Souto the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Botafogo fc booed when ALVINEGRO.LHP was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alexsandro Souto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Victor Cerezo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Reinaldo Siqueira in the 59th minute of the match. A collision led to Botafogo fc getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Juan Paes hit a great ball. Richard de Souza took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 62nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Edson Leme. Botafogo fc's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Leonel Mineiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. If Bernardinho Campidelis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Leonel Mineiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Edson Leme didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bernardinho Campidelis went, in the 94th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. ALVINEGRO.LHP's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
