Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Wágner Torres started the match with the kick off. The supporters of Carajari booed when Guarapuava EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dráusio Veiga didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rafa Abraãos short, quick shot in the 10thth minute got Cristian Arruda to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Walmir Sanches during the 10th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Walmir Sanches kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. In the 20th minute, Rafa Abraão ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cristian Arruda was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. With a little luck, Guarapuava EC's Cristian Arruda got control of the ball when Válter Xavier tried to sneak it across the goal line. Dino Medeiros blasted a shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dé Pereira having to make a save. Dé Pereira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dino Medeiros in the 34th minute of play. Ricardinho Xavier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 43 minutes into the match, Guarapuava EC's Dino Medeiros sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dé Pereira narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Válter Xavier kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. Cristian Arruda took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wágner Torres, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dino Medeiros made a kick off. In the 52nd minute, Ricardinho Xavier got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 55 minutes, Wágner Torres managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Carajari's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wágner Torres was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Carajari's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Ricardinho Xavier 60 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-1. Cristian Arruda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rafa Abraão in the 64th minute of the match. 67 minutes into the match, Guarapuava EC's goal looked a bit too open when Wágner Torres came free, but Cristian Arruda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rafa Abraão in the 68th minute of play forced Guarapuava EC's goalkeeper Cristian Arruda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Matías Fernandes, 88 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After a rather tough play, Guarapuava EC's Donato Andrade got a free kick in the 90th minute. When Dino Medeiros came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Guarapuava EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dino Medeiros couldn't finish the play.
