Lauro Ramos might have been able to make a better finish in the 35th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Caco Valle. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. After 35 minutes of play, Ibicaba's Fausto Mota made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Caco Valle was left in no man's land by his defense there! Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fausto Mota in the 39th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Caco Valle prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 41 minutes into the game, Ibicaba's Fausto Mota nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Caco Valle made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. In the 44th minute, Agostinho Porto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 47th minute of the match Valério Sá sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Caco Valle skillfully saved the ball.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fausto Mota was the one to do the kick off. Caco Valle made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fausto Mota in the 60th minute of play. 65 minutes into the match, Fausto Mota dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Caco Valle, 0-7. Lauro Ramos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Caco Valle having to interfere. When the match was over Ibicaba could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Criciúma E.C throughout the match.
