The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eliézer Duarte was the one to do the kick off. Caco Valle showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Armandinho Prestes in the 56th minute of the match. In the 86thth minute of the game Pedrão Batista who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Criciúma E.C's Caco Valle was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedrão Batista in the 88th minute of play forced Criciúma E.C's goalkeeper Caco Valle to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
