Caricaca's Andreas Käller got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 12 minutes into the game, Caricaca's Augusto Varela nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Guilherme Godoi made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Caricaca's Augusto Varela got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Andreas Käller had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Guilherme Godoi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Augusto Varela in the 23rd minute of play. A collision led to S.E. Barbudovski getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Luís Paulo Negri hit a great ball. Augusto Varela sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tadeu Sabóia's late challenge caught a Caricaca's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tadeu Sabóia helped the player get up and apologised. After 33 played minutes S.E. Barbudovski got a freekick which was hit by Tadeu Sabóia. If Dinei Bittencourt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 39th minute, Augusto Varela got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in S.E. Barbudovski's zone, Augusto Varela stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Guilherme Godoi came out of the goal and Augusto Varela tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The S.E. Barbudovski players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Caricaca were winning 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Válbson Trancoso made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Augusto Varela in the 53rd minute of play forced S.E. Barbudovski's goalkeeper Guilherme Godoi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Guilherme Godoi made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Andreas Käller sent off a good shot on target. 59 minutes into the match, Caricaca's goal looked a bit too open when Válbson Trancoso came free, but Paulo Renato de Brito reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Caricaca getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Andreas Käller hit a great ball. If Augusto Varela had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 67 minutes, Augusto Varela managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Caricaca's supporters crossed their fingers, but Augusto Varela was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luís Linhares in the 70th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Paulo Renato de Brito saved Caricaca from getting behind. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Guilherme Godoi, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After having played for 82 minutes, Cristiano de Castro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Caricaca's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristiano de Castro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Augusto Varela had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dinei Bittencourt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Guilherme Godoi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luís Linhares recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Cristiano de Castro fell near the penalty area in the 91st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Caricaca's protests and gave Cristiano de Castro a yellow card for diving instead.
