The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 25 minutes into the match, Roberto Madureira notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Thayus Clube de Futebol's Chicão Alvarenga. Chicão Alvarenga was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Chicão Alvarenga didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Roberto Madureira went, in the 28th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-3 was the resulting score. Chicão Alvarenga showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roberto Madureira, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. In the 33rdth minute of the game Arí Peres who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but The Joker's Elano Cabral was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zézinho Novaes in the 34th minute of play forced The Joker's goalkeeper Elano Cabral to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, The Joker's Edu de Salles got a free kick in the 35th minute. Arí Peres recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With his leg Elano Cabral managed to avoid a goal in the 37thth minute, when Thayus Clube de Futebol's Arí Peres fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Kiko Torres sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Arí Peres fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elano Cabral having to interfere. With an all-out effort, Thayus Clube de Futebol's Elano Cabral threw himself towards the right post 44 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Arí Peres, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Thayus Clube de Futebol's defense seemed to have forgotten Guto Lopez, who 48 minutes into the match easily made 2-4 through a touch of the ball on the crossbar.

The wind increased when Roberto Madureira made the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Zézinho Novaes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Thayus Clube de Futebol's supporters rose to their feet, but Zézinho Novaes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Elano Cabral breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Arí Peres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thayus Clube de Futebol's Arí Peres got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in The Joker's zone, Zézinho Novaes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Elano Cabral came out of the goal and Zézinho Novaes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Diamantino Quintal fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Thayus Clube de Futebol's protests and gave Diamantino Quintal a yellow card for diving instead. After 65 played minutes Thayus Clube de Futebol got a freekick which was hit by Diamantino Quintal. In the 69th minute, Arí Peres left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Thayus Clube de Futebol fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-4. In the 72nd minute Rony Garcia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elano Cabral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Elano Cabral showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arí Peres in the 73rd minute of the match. After 74 minutes, Zézinho Novaes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Thayus Clube de Futebol and the The Joker players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Thayus Clube de Futebol getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Zézinho Novaes hit a great ball. Chicão Alvarenga made a fantastic save in the 78th minute, when Edu de Salles sent off a good shot on target. After having played for 81 minutes, Kiko Torres managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Thayus Clube de Futebol's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kiko Torres was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 85 minutes into the game, Thayus Clube de Futebol's Arí Peres nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Elano Cabral made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-4. Arí Peres fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elano Cabral having to interfere. When Edu de Salles fell near the penalty area in the 94th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored The Joker's protests and gave Edu de Salles a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to The Joker getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Edu de Salles hit a great ball. Arí Peres fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elano Cabral having to interfere. With an all-out effort, The Joker's Chicão Alvarenga threw himself towards the right post 99 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Roberto Madureira, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
