In the 3rd match minute, Thayus Clube de Futebol was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Charles Jacinto to maneuver through the defense. 7 minutes into the match, Thayus Clube de Futebol's goalkeeper Chicão Alvarenga had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Edu de Salles. Chicão Alvarenga didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Edu de Salles went, in the 9th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. A throw-in in the 13th minute of the game was made by Luiz Fabiano Munhoz with Roberto Madureira as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Chicão Alvarenga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roberto Madureira in the 14th minute of play. 14 minutes into the match, Roberto Madureira notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Thayus Clube de Futebol's Chicão Alvarenga. Chicão Alvarenga was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Zézinho Novaes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Thayus Clube de Futebol's supporters rose to their feet, but Zézinho Novaes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Elano Cabral breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Elano Cabral came out of the goal in the 21st minute to try and stop a shot by Thayus Clube de Futebol's Kiko Torres. But to his dismay, Kiko Torres quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Chicão Alvarenga made an important save on a dangerous shot by Guto Lopez in the 24th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by William Prado during the 30th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 30th match minute, Thayus Clube de Futebol was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by William Prado to maneuver through the defense. Chicão Alvarenga was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Luiz Fabiano Munhoz. With a little luck, Thayus Clube de Futebol's Chicão Alvarenga got control of the ball when Chiquinho Baptista tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zézinho Novaes in the 34th minute of play forced The Joker's goalkeeper Elano Cabral to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rony Garcia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elano Cabral having to interfere. Arí Peres hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. If Rony Garcia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The wind increased when Kiko Torres made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Guto Lopez had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Chicão Alvarenga. Thayus Clube de Futebol's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Guto Lopez was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. 55 minutes into the match, Thayus Clube de Futebol's goal looked a bit too open when Roberto Madureira came free, but Chicão Alvarenga reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Joker's Edu de Salles got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Chicão Alvarenga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roberto Madureira in the 66th minute of the match. Kiko Torres received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Elano Cabral tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kiko Torres sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Elano Cabral took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zézinho Novaes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, The Joker's Roberto Madureira got a free kick in the 78th minute. Kiko Torres sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kiko Torres took the ball and in the 84 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Elano Cabral. Elano Cabral dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. In the 88th minute, Arí Peres hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luiz Fabiano Munhoz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thayus Clube de Futebol's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
