Remo Sena kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. In the 16thth minute of the game Waldir Sarmento who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Master Team AD's Geovanni Bastos was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 17th minute the ball was on its way in behind BBEC's goalkeeper Sílvio Barreto, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 21st match minute, Master Team AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Remo Sena to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, BBEC's Sílvio Barreto got control of the ball when Flávio Terra tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Master Team AD getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Magno Berger hit a great ball. Duarte Rodrigues took the ball and in the 38 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Geovanni Bastos. Geovanni Bastos dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 44th minute, Luiz Fernando de Queiroz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Luiz Fernando de Queiroz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sílvio Barreto having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Luiz Fernando de Queiroz to strike the kick off in the second half. Waldir Sarmento fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Geovanni Bastos having to interfere. Waldir Sarmento was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 56th minute. BBEC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Waldir Sarmento's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Geovanni Bastos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 62nd minute of play. In the 65th minute, Magno Berger hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 72 minutes into the match, BBEC's goal looked a bit too open when Luiz Fernando de Queiroz came free, but Sílvio Barreto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Flávio Terra in the 74th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sílvio Barreto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Flávio Terra in the 76th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sílvio Barreto saved BBEC from getting behind. The supporters of Master Team AD booed when BBEC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Reginaldo Domingues didn't get a good kick on the ball. Geovanni Bastos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Waldir Sarmento in the 84th minute. 89 minutes into the match, BBEC's goal looked a bit too open when Flávio Terra came free, but Sílvio Barreto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Luiz Fernando de Queiroz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Master Team AD's supporters rose to their feet, but Luiz Fernando de Queiroz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sílvio Barreto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Waldir Sarmento could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Geovanni Bastos made a huge save. The BBEC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing BBEC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
